LINFLO® Control Valves

The Linflo Technologies Division of Hypernetics designs and manufactures laminar flow control valves, which are clearly superior in performance to conventional flow control devices. Hypernetics has considerable experience in the field of laminar flow control valves for both high purity and industrial process control applications. The LINFLO® flow control device provides solutions to a broad range of liquid and gas applications.

The Valve Principle

The LINFLO® valve design achieves high precision, wide rangeability and inherent linearity in one cost effective control device.

The annular inlet plenum distributes the fluid to the radial inflow passage. The accelerating flow field in the inflow passage suppresses cavitation and maintains laminar conditions.

A stainless steel diaphragm provides a flexible wall for the radial inflow chamber. Incremental deflection of the diaphragm results in a linear proportional change in flow. The resulting flow control has exceptional repeatability and negligible hysteresis.

The diaphragm design eliminates stems, bellows and dynamic seals from the flow path to reduce particulate generation, improve drydown cycle times, and enhance resettability and cycle life.

Custom Valve Design

In addition to the LINFLO® valve concept, Hypernetics also offers further expertise in providing custom control valve design capability for unique applications.

Our specialty is custom packaging and redesign for low pressure, low flow, and small size in a wide range of industrial and high purity applications.

If you have a problem that defies an off the shelf solution then Hypernetics may be able to design and build the device you need.

VM 42 Series:

View Spec Sheet

The LINFLO® VM42 Series all metal high purity control valve provides accurate flow control of gases and liquids and is suitable for toxic and corrosive service in high purity systems.

The patented LINFLO® diaphragm valve design maintains laminar flow conditions in the radial inflow passage and features metal to metal seat and seals. The diaphragm ensures complete isolation of the actuator from the process fluid and eliminates dynamic seals, bellows, stems, sliding parts and polymers from the flowstream.

The simple valve geometry, and 10Ra microinch internal surface finish ensures that entrapment areas and contamination from particle generation and outgassing are minimized.

Each valve is individually cleaned, pressure tested, functionally tested and helium leak checked.
